Firstly, my rental requests were a bit more specific than some. I wanted to rent a splitboard with all the trimmings for 4 days whilst on an avalanche course.
Once I arrived I walked into the shop, gave them my name, got sat on a comfy sofa (no uncomfortable wooden benches here!) while they got everything together. I was lucky to get a brand new 14/15 Burton board that hadn't even been used yet. I know I wasn't an isolated case either with the quality of kit. My girlfriend also got some epic touring skis and even came back and changed them to powder skis when conditions changed.
The shop itself is a marvel. They have made the most of the small amount of space they have displaying what they have for sale while keeping enough space for people to clomp about testing if their ski boots fit.
The team that Kieran has put together at Tignes Spirit is right at the top of their game. Everyone I dealt with gave honest information about the equipment and if they didn't know the answer they went and found out from someone else (not every skier knows everything about snowboards). When I went back to the shop to return my equipment the guys there were genuinely interested in how the equipment worked for me unlike some other dis-interested rental places I've been to over the years.
In short Tignes Spirit was a joy to use from start to finish and I won't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.
Tignes Spirit were amazing. We arrived really late due to a delayed flight and they went out of their way to pick us up and make sure that we had our skis that evening even though it was midnight. On the second day my boots were really tight and when I called to ask for different boots, they brought 3 pairs to the chalet for me to try the next morning. Great service and lovely staff.
As always, Kieran and the team were fantastic.
They kitted us out with boots, skis, poles and boards and took the time to make sure everyone had gear they were happy and comfortable with.
And when one of the party had rubbing from their boots, it was no trouble to assess the issue and change the boots for something wider.
The service level and friendly team at Tignes Spirit is first class and I wouldnt go anywhere else anytime I visit Tignes - if it works perfectly, why change it right?
Prompt and efficient service, phoned to see where we were in case we would have time to sneak in an afternoons skiing on arrival. Great kit all suitable for the particular user, they ask a lot of questions to get that right. Having kit delivered and collected is so nice. And most importantly with loads of ice around ....great edges ! Would definitely use them again if in Espace Killy
I met a lot of the Tignes Spirit staff last week, every one of them knows their stuff and they are out of this world helpful.
They come to you, don't bother hanging round the hire shops for poor service, I've done it. They have even convinced me never to bring my own equipment again, I am always going to hire with Tignes Spirit from now on. They should franchise this across all resorts!!!
Thanks to all the team at Tignes Spirit, we visited Val d'Isere last week and received the best service form you guys. Nothing was too much trouble even when you visited us late in the evening to swap our boots, ski's etc. All the staff were extremely polite and friendly and your knowledge was second to none and very much appreciated by us all.
We will definitely use your company again in the future.
What really makes Tignes Spirit stand out from the crowd is their gear.
Tignes Spirit could not have been more helpful in the selection of the correct skis and the service that they provided. One member of our team needed her boots changed and this was done the following day with no problems. I would recommend Tignes Spirit to anyone that needs to hire skiis.
We were a large group of 34 and fairly demanding but I have to say the Tignes Spirit team were incredibly professional and made the entire process very painless. Even the large amount of very young children we had with us were kitted out in the correct sizes very quickly and left with smiles on their faces.
The equipment was fantastic and requests which arose during the week were dealt with quickly and professionally.
We were very happy with the service provided by Tignes Spirit: from the booking process right through to dropping our equipment off.
